Directions

In a bucket or large bowl of water, submerge the entire bandana or just the removable pouch containing the cooling pellets.

Check progress after 2 hours and evenly distribute pellets inside the pouch. Full hydration for the first time takes 6-8 hours (warm water speeds the process).

If soaking just the removable pouch, drain after hydration and reinsert into decorative cover taking care not to smash the pellets. You will notice that the fabric becomes cool, but not overly wet.

If soaking the entire collar do not wring out or damage to the cooling pellets may occur.

Tie loosely around the pet’s neck to provide cooling relief or rotate (ties on top) to cool the chest! The cooling bandanas tie from 12" to 22" around your hound's neck with cooling pouch inserted. * The cooling pouch insert is 18" long.

Safety & Maintenance

Bandanas can be kept hydrated and stored in the fridge for added convenience and coolness. A sealed bag is best to contain the cooling moisture.

Fresh water use only. Salt will damage these cooling pellets. If you need a cooling collar for the beach, contact me for availability details.

Machine wash decorative fabric cover only, air dry, and lightly iron as necessary.

NOTE: The cooling pouch can be frozen but will not maintain the same cooling properties for as long, once thawed. Some pellets will rupture during freezing. They still absorb and release water, but the pellet structure regulates the evaporation that provides the cooling effect. For some applications, a shorter time length with more intense cooling is desirable.

Cooling bandanas are designed to provide some cooling for your pet, but will not prevent heat stroke. Never leave your pet unsupervised as ties present a hazard of strangulation.
